Dear friends and colleagues,
We meet again in our 2024 Eye World Summit. This year, the
topic of Artificial Intelligence and its applications in Ophthalmology and
Pediatric Retina will be addressed. Dr. Linda Lam, Professor of Clinical
Ophthalmology at USC Keck School of Medicine, Los Angeles, CA, will be abording
the topic of Health Innovations in Ophthalmology: telehealth, AI, and Robotics
and the Role of AI in addressing health disparities in Ophthalmology. Our next
area of focus is Pediatric Ophthalmology focusing on Pediatric Retina. A group
of renowned International guest speakers along with local and regional
interested ophthalmologists. We hope to highlight the importance of screening
and managing premature babies aiming at eradicating advanced stages retinopathy
of prematurity from Egypt and the Region. We will also address comprehensively
management of different retinal diseases in pediatric age group and the
masqueraders that mimic retinoblastoma, so that the general ophthalmologist,
pediatric ophthalmologist and retina specialist gets total background knowledge
about diagnosis and treatment.
The venue this year is Mohamed Ali Palace, one of the monarchial
monumental palaces in Egypt, to enjoy the long lasting culture along with state
of the art science.
The EWH 2024 Summit is held in collaboration with the Egyptian
Ophthalmological Society, The Middle East African Council of Ophthalmology and
Nour El-Oyoun foundation for development.
